Create a Favicon From Text or Initials

Enter one to four characters, choose a font, colours and shape, and SEO Mentor renders a square source image for the favicon package. Short initials normally remain clearer at small browser-tab sizes than long words.

Generate a Favicon From a Logo or Image

Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG logo and the tool scales it into common favicon sizes. The tool provides individual PNG downloads at 16×16, 32×32, 48×48, 180×180, 192×192 and 512×512, plus a multi-size favicon.ico containing 16×16, 32×32 and 48×48 images. The complete ZIP also includes the Apple touch icon, Android/PWA icons, a web manifest and example HTML markup.

Check a Website's Existing Favicon

The website checker reads the public page and looks for standard icon, shortcut icon, Apple touch icon and manifest declarations. It also checks the conventional /favicon.ico location. This helps identify missing declarations and inconsistent favicon setup without relying on a paid API.

Why Favicon Sizes Matter

A favicon can appear in browser tabs, bookmarks, shortcuts and search interfaces. Different environments may request different sizes, so providing a small set of correctly declared icons is more reliable than uploading one arbitrary image and assuming every browser will use it the same way.

Favicon and Google Search

A valid favicon does not improve rankings by itself. It can, however, support a consistent site identity where browsers and search interfaces choose to display it. Search engines ultimately decide whether and when a favicon appears.
